Technical crisis management

I have participated in many production incident resolutions, when I had to bring a failing live system back online under time pressure. If your production system is failing now, and your team has run out of obvious remedies, I can help stabilize the situation, identify the root cause and restore service as quickly as possible.

The immediate goal is to regain control; once the crisis has passed, we can address the underlying issues to reduce the risk in the future.

Scaling and performance improvement

A system that was working perfectly at launch will start struggling once you get to your first 10k, 100k, 1 million users. Sometimes it can be mitigated by upgrading hardware or a cloud plan. Oftentimes, it requires working with database queries, indexes, caching, architecture.

I'll help your team figure out the next steps and scale an existing system without rewriting it from scratch.
